Car Painting

At Universal Collision Centre, we would say that the most important part of a repair is making sure our customers vehicles are returned to their original levels of safety and performance. But our customers are also emotionally attached to their vehicles, and usually want to ensure that their vehicle also looks as good as it did before the accident. But don’t worry, the same standards we apply to shaping and welding steel are applied to car painting.

After we repair your vehicle’s body and frame, and fill any blemishes in the surface, it’s time to prime and paint. Step four of our Seven-Step Repair Process is the prep and prime. Adequate preparation is just as important as applying the paint. During this stage, we clean, cut, sand, and apply primer. When done correctly, it ensure that step five, the actual car painting, goes perfectly.

Sikkens

Our approach to repainting vehicles begins with the choosing the right products. We only use Sikkens car paint because they produce the best colours, have the least fade-out, and are best for the environment. Being water-based, instead of solvent-based, Sikkens paint doesn’t release harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) that you’ll find in solvent-based paint solutions. VOC, when released, are a danger to the air, soil, and groundwater. Additionally, the colours they produce are duller and less precise than water-based paints.

We also combine the best products with first-class processes. All of our technicians are certified and trained to the highest standards in the industry. Our car painting booths are state of the art and well maintained. In our dedication to returning your vehicle to pre-accident condition, we overlook nothing.

Car Paint Matching

Obviously, one of the most important components of car painting is colour matching. If UCC repairs a single panel on your vehicle, you want to be confident it will perfectly match the rest of your vehicle. We use some of the most sophisticated colour matching technology in the industry, and our results speak for themselves. When it comes to car paint matching, we’re among the very best.

Detailing and Car Paint Maintenance

Once you get your vehicle back from Universal Collision Centre, you’ll want to do everything you can to keep it in perfect condition. Here are few detailing tips you should always follow.

  • When washing yourself, use one wash bucket for soapy water, and another bucket for rinsing. This ensures you don’t scrape dirty across your car after you’ve cleaned it off.
  • Use a microfibre towel, and avoid automatic car washes that use anything more abrasive than microfibre.
  • Don’t wash in direct sunlight.
