In June, Universal Collision Centre will be hosting the 10th annual JDRF Golf Tournament. As presenting partner, we’re proud to raise awareness for juvenile diabetes, and to assist efforts to find a cure.
JDRF
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disorder which interrupts the body’s ability to produce insulin. The disease affects over 300,000 Canadians and 65,000 people in Saskatchewan – chances are you know someone who has felt the impact of T1D. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s ultimate objective is to cure T1D – offering curative treatments, and preventative therapy. But, as they work toward that goal, the foundation provides aid to those suffering from type 1 diabetes, aiming to improve their quality of life.
2017 JDRF Golf Tournament
This year we’re celebrating the 10th annual tournament in support of the JDRF. The tournament will take place on June 15th at Flowing Springs Golf Greens, located 15 minutes northwest of Regina. Competition will take place in the 18-hole Turbo Texas Scramble format. Arrive between 9:30 and 11:30 am to check in. Lunch will be served at 11, before play commences at noon. Registration for teams of four golfers is still open, with a fee of $150 per player.
Corporate Sponsorships
We are also still accepting sponsorships at various levels. Prices range from $300 for hole sponsorship to $5000 for banquet sponsorship. All levels of sponsorship include the opportunity to display corporate signage at the event. Benefits of other sponsorship levels include complimentary golf registrations, recognition at the post-tournament banquet, logos on television ads, and more. Sponsorship applications will only be accepted until May 15, so act soon! Visit the JDRF Tournament website to learn more.
Donations
If you’d like to support JDRF personally, but are unable to attend the tournament, you can still donate through our website. Every donation goes toward finding a cure for T1D and improving the lives of those currently afflicted. We appreciate all contributions.
Everyone at Universal Collision Centre is hoping the 10th annual JDRF Golf Tournament will be the biggest yet. We’re looking forward to golf, good weather, and, most importantly, raising money for this important cause. See you all on this course!
